We’re happy to announce that Billets, the Dioscouri Support Ticket component, will be available for download next week!  We’ve had one of our teams working since February to

1. get Billets ready for Joomla 1.5
2. get Billets ready for public consumption

and we feel we’ve finally arrived!

As you can see in the Billets Feature List page, Billets will support multiple languages.  It will be distributed with an english language file, but as some of you translate that file into your native languages, please feel free to send them to us.  We will post them here on our servers for downloading by the community (in fact, the reason we aren’t releasing Billets today is because we’re setting up the filesystem for handling the language files and addons).

We’re really excited to be sending another component out to you and hope you enjoy it!

As we approach the release of JUGA v1.01/v1.51, we want to plan ahead for the next upgrade, so here’s what we’re thinking.  JUGA creates an index of your website’s pages (the JUGA->Site Items) which means it could do a few more things in addition to managing your user groups. 

For example, since JUGA has a unique id for every page, we could integrate:

• a commenting system that would allow your site’s users to comment on the pages in your website that you specify
• statistics tracking, such as a user’s page visit history, the number of times that they visited, and each page’s hits
• SEF (search engine friendly) URLs for every page (including pages within components not written with SEF support)
• and more…

JUGA v1.01 will have full, native support for non-standard variables such as ’sobi2Task’, ‘catid’, ‘func’, and anything else those other CMT makers dream of passing through their scripts.

What does this mean?

It means that JUGA now natively supports DocMan, Sobi2, Fireboard, AdsManager, and all those other CMTs that use non-standard variables.

When?  Since you’ve all asked for it, we’re going to try to push up the release date to April.
