We’ll be releasing JUGA v1.01/1.51 within the next 10-14 days.  Among the other features already discussed in the JUGA blog category, it will be NATIVE to and support SEF URLs in Joomla! 1.5.

We can’t wait to release it for you!  All Charter Members with active subscriptions will be able to download the upgrade for free and no data in your current JUGA tables will be lost during the upgrade.

After a few days of serious discussions — both internal and external — we have decided to keep the source code for our components *open*.  We at Dioscouri are committed to Open Source and refuse to allow the more surreptitious types prowling on the internet to sway our beliefs.  Thanks to all of you who have written to share your views on the matter — we definitely heard you.

Unfortunately, we’re going to have to encrypt our components from this point foward. 

Though we know that the great majority of our users are honest and ethical, a few bad apples out there are forcing us into this position.  We’ll be using Zend Guard to encrypt our components, which means that  for the great majority of you, nothing will change. 

To use a Zend-encrypted component, your server needs to have the Zend Optimizer installed. How do you know if your server has the Zend Optimizer?  It’s simple: in your Joomla! admin control panel, browse to System>>System Info.  Click on the PHP tab.  You will see text that says:

•  included LibChart graph classes

•  improved the upload framework
