The next best thing to not printing at all is printing only the most pertinent information, which is why we are excited to bring you our newest (FREE!) extension - PrintMe. With PrintMe, your web pages are printed without any modules and no formatting other than what you specify. Additionally, it allows you to specify a custom header and/or footer, and include full breadcrumb or pagetitle.
PrintMe is extremely easy to use. Install the component via the core Joomla installer. This will install a component and system plugin. Don't forget to enable the system plugin. In the component, you will have the option to display breadcrumb and/or pagetitle, as well as specify the header and footer HTML. If you want to specify custom CSS, you will need to use an editor to edit PrintMe CSS. It's that easy!
To preview what a page will look like when printed, on your front-end affix "&tmpl=component&print=1" to the end of any URL (these variables are automatically affixed to com_content URLs when you click the Joomla Print icon).

I'd love to also have this plugin active for Jooma's PDF button... and hope that this feature will be added really soon!
