For Joomla! 1.5.x users, you will need to install our free CONTENT SUBMIT component to restrict front-end publishing by section/category. For Joomla! 1.0.x users, no additional components are necessary. Joomla! 1.0.xYou will note that the URL for submitting a new article to a section in Joomla! 1.0.x looks something like this:
If you've never seen a link like this before, then you haven't created it in your Menu Manager yet. This tells Joomla! to create a publishing form for the section that corresponds with sectionid 'x' As a result, you need to tell JUGA to restrict the 'sectionid' variable and that 'task' variable for the option 'com_content'. In all likelihood, an entry in JUGA>>Variables already exists for 'task', so you just need to browse to JUGA>>Variables and create one for 'sectionid'. Set Auto-Add = YES, Force Integer =YES. After creating the variable, confirm that you have the JUGA System Plugin enabled, then return to your front-end and click the link for submitting a new article. Then, return to JUGA>>Site Items. Search for 'sectionid' in the filter box. You will see the new Site Item corresponding to the link you just clicked. Assign it to a JUGA Group and then assign the correct users to that same JUGA Group to grant them publishing access for that section. Joomla! 1.5.xInstall our free CONTENT SUBMIT component. Create a Menu Item link to the CONTENT SUBMIT component via your Menu Manager. Select your preferred layout (section or category). While creating or editing the menu item, select the section/category you would like to associate with the submission form. Save the new Menu Item and publish it. You will note that the URL for submitting a new article to a section/category while using our CONTENT SUBMIT component looks something like this:
